High School Student Exchange Program Update

This fall, our Philadelphia Performing Arts high schoolers embarked on an unforgettable journey to Germany as exchange students — and this spring, we had the joy of welcoming their German counterparts right back to us.

Over the course of this incredible program, our students lived with host families, traveled throughout Europe, and experienced new cultures firsthand. Their new friends then made the trip to the United States, staying with our students' families and exploring Philadelphia, New York City, and Washington, D.C.

We recently gathered to celebrate this exchange with a special ceremony and office citations from the City of Philadelphia — honoring not just the memories made, but the deeper impact of connecting young people across borders. When students step outside of what's familiar, they come home with something that cannot be taught in a classroom alone: a genuine understanding of the world and the people in it.
